Well, my story began on July 5, 2017.
I woke up with my left eye partially blind, at first I thought I had something in my eye, so I rinse my face and nothing it was same. So since I’m a truck driver and I drive a lot I thought ok I need some sleep and still the same.
So the next day I went to my eye doctor he checked my eye and he didn’t see anything my recna and retina were good. So I went to my to my doctor for a blood test and Ct scan, diabetic test, blood pressure test, and everything came back normal. So I went back to another eye doctor for a second opinion and the same everything was good so he recommended me to doctor Bose, an ophthalmologist at Cedars Sinai in Beverly Hills, CA. He checked out my eye and the same he said my eye was good but he did send me to get an MRI urgent and when he got the results back he thought it was an optic nerve glioma (a tumor) he seen in side it was swollen and my front forehead was hurting it would come and go like a throbbing pain.
So he recommended steroids for the swollen and I was thinking like was going on with me. So I stayed in the hospital for 3 days getting steroids, lab tests, and a spinal tap. My head stopped hurting and my vision was getting a little better. Then after I got out of the hospital I went back for my appointment and that’s when the ophthalmologist told me it’s not a tumor but I have NMO. ?
